I am a radio amateur and my brother forges as a hobby. That being said, I bought this hitch ball joint with a thought in mind. I asked my brother if he would convert this mount into an antenna mount for my ham radio. That means he heated [various parts of] this clutch [again and again] to over 3,000 degrees and then manually molded it into a completely different shape. It took six to eight hours to heat and forge in a forge. With all these stresses on the metal, the weld on the head did not even crack. From what my brother says, it's amazing. What you see in the photo is a finished, one-of-a-kind piece of art, both finished and as it appears on my car. KC4EGG
