After reading a number of reviews of how difficult it is to install this switch, I have to disagree. One of the photos shows the switch on a blue plastic junction box (commonly available at most hardware stores). Assuming you have such a box, installing the switch couldn't be simpler. It is physically sufficient to simply remove the nuts and lock washers on the back of the switch and screw it into the top and bottom brackets of the junction box. Contrary to what some reviewers have said, the switch screws are perfectly aligned. In my case, a power cord with a three-prong plug enters on one side and a romex line to a duplex jack on the other. The duplex connector supplies power to the router and vacuum cleaner when the power is on. This switch serves its purpose perfectly and is inexpensive.
