Just started using this tripod even though my largest lens is a 150-450. This is a very durable tripod. At first I was concerned that the four-section leg would be less stable than my Manfrotto three-leg tripods, but that was unfounded. It comes with a short stem for macro photography. I haven't used it yet, but it seems well made too. The tripod as a whole is a great concept. It crunches very small and gets big enough for me for my photo. It works in every way except for a very bad ball head. The handles are too small and the head can NEVER support 26 lbs! When I carried my camera with a lens, the camera would rotate no matter how tight I tightened it. I replaced the head with a Markins ball head and am happy with it. I wouldn't want to use this head with more than a 200 f4 lens. Overall a good deal
