Not as advertised

I liked everything about it EXCEPT the advertised "quick release" which is not really a quick release. That's the only reason I'm lowering my rating to 3 stars. It was necessary for me, so it won't work. My local camera shop can't replace the ball head, so I'll buy another, but not Sirui.

High quality and light weight

Great tripod, especially for traveling. Lightweight, easy to use and stable once assembled. It's not as high as some without a B-pillar, but the height is perfect for me. The controls on the head are high quality and prevent camera shake. Locks clips on the legs are a must for on the go. I've tried other twist locks and they took at least twice as long to seat and break.

Upgraded from 1 star, replaced under warranty

After using cheap tripods for a few years I decided to invest in this one for the features and greater stability. Unfortunately, one of the clips was too tight so it broke on the second use. I had rust too. I emailed the company with no response and thought I was stuck. Then I found the warranty card, contacted the number and they replaced it immediately, saying they've never seen rust. Now I am happy with the product but check all clamps before use and loosen if necessary.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Almost ok

Four and a half stars rounded down.

This is a very heavy tripod, strong, well-adjustable leg clamps, smooth head with ball and swivel knob, Swiss ARCA plate with fuse, very short stick and retractable leg pins, so why only four half a stars? First, the short column comes in a small separate bag and doesn't fit in the pockets of the main tripod bag, so when shooting in the dark it gets lost at the first opportunity. Во-вторых, это продается как штатив для путешествий, и да, он складывается до небольшого размера, но при весе 4,4…

Excellent professional tripod

Very happy with the purchase. Switching between a ball head and a manual gimbal is my favorite ball head tripod. I have used it with Nikon D750, D850 and D5 with all lenses from 70-200 f/2.8 to 180-400 f/. 4, 600mf/4 and 800mm f/5.6. I've never worried about my gear falling out of my mouth or the tripod failing. The carbon fiber is well constructed and strong enough to sit for hours shooting eagles and other birds. The only reason I didn't give him five stars is because I wish he was a few…

Big Legs Small Head

Just started using this tripod even though my largest lens is a 150-450. This is a very durable tripod. At first I was concerned that the four-section leg would be less stable than my Manfrotto three-leg tripods, but that was unfounded. It comes with a short stem for macro photography. I haven't used it yet, but it seems well made too. The tripod as a whole is a great concept. It crunches very small and gets big enough for me for my photo. It works in every way except for a very bad ball head…

I like it! for tripods and monopods

This tripod is very light and well made. Anything that needs to be smooth is smooth, and what needs to be fixed will be fixed. The tripod comes with a ball head with Arca-Swiss nameplate, interchangeable center posts (long and short), instructions for legs and head, tools and a very nice bag. The bag is good for storage but not for travel as it doubles the weight of the tripod. Once you have the center speaker in place, the stand is very easy to use. However, changing a column from long to…

Ideal for stabilizing long shots.

I've been searching and researching various tripods for several weeks, probably spending too much time looking at test videos etc. I finally settled on this Sirui et series and couldn't be happier. My criteria are: - Fairly light and compact (less than 5lbs) - Strong enough to carry 15lb gear - Cleated leg option - Compact midsection to get to the ground - Reasonable price - Decent ball head that can handle some weight can . I had to make compromises in my research until I came across this…

Pros
  • A sea of positive emotions
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.

Lightweight, strong and durable

The perfect travel tripod. Lightweight, folds compactly and can carry a lot of weight. All components are of the quality I expect from Sirui. The flip latches were a key feature of this tripod for me. I often take pictures at the beach and have yet to find twistlocks that don't build up sand quickly and need to be completely disassembled for effective cleaning. However, I did not have this problem with the flip locks on this tripod. After prolonged exposure to sand, dust and dirt, this tripod…
