I wanted a cap with a temperature sensor, but I didn't want to have an increased pressure compared to the standard cap. They are designed to relieve pressure when it exceeds the capacity that other components are rated for. I think fitting a new radiator cap with a higher venting pressure just increases the chances of the coolant hose blowing through the cap instead of venting. I'm glad I found this product. The sensor works as expected and appears to be accurate.
