Feels really solid (although I'm not sure I'd want to drop test it). The tea diffuser is sturdy and the holes are a good size to keep the tea out. As another reviewer said, it's BIG. Not bad for me (6ft 4in male, big hands). However, I had no problem with it getting too hot. I brew my black tea at 195-200. At this temperature, the glass heats up slightly and is not even felt with the packaging. I wish there was a puff lid for it as it is large. It comes with a screw cap only. The brush that comes with the kit is as cheap as it comes. But it's just a throw. .
