Review on Daddy Chef Grain Cutting Board by Ben Jacobson

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Rough surface in cutlery and knife accessories

Nice and strong cutting board but the surface is rough. At the first wetting, he tore off pieces of the paper towel. I contacted the manufacturer and they said it was "normal". The downside is that it was very difficult to clean when I was carving chicken on it. It was almost impossible to get all the tiny parts due to the rough surface. Others have said it can be "scraped" or sanded down, but I prefer to have the manufacturer finish it before shipping (I already have a job). Do not repack and send back. I use it to chop veggies until they hopefully "root". To update; Every company makes mistakes. If not, you're not working. What matters is what you do afterwards. This company has responded admirably (and made me a huge fan of their knives).
