My 7 year old son wanted to try inline skating so I rummaged around in the garage and found my 15 year old inline skates. Well, it's no surprise that the bindings on my old skates, which I carelessly tucked away in the garage, failed catastrophically at the rink from dry rot and ruptured. I thought it might be worth replacing those brackets. seemed like a cheap game. Happy to announce that I won! All you need for installation is a screwdriver and a drill. Simply drill out the inside of the rivets, then replace them with a new set and simply screw them into place. It took every 5 minutes. The new band is very durable and easy to use. I only needed the strap so I didn't bother swapping out the ratchet. And the new straps match the old ratchet perfectly. Walked the track a bit, so far so good. If they don't work I will come back and update this review.
