Review on 🚲 Mountain Bike Bell - Timber! Quick Release Model by Joe Bottomkent

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A versatile well designed bell - 2 thumbs up!

Works great. I like the sound (Timber Bell timbre if you will ;> ) - First of all I mostly use it off road in Bear and Mountain Lion Country (Northern Sierra and Nevada) just like "I'm here". Watch out for wildlife as on long lonely climbs (from bumpy roads to rough rocky gravel surfaces) when I'm moving slowly but can't see the bushes and trees. - I use it on descents when I can't see around corners. Works great when getting close to hikers and joggers. they hear it and step aside happily, often commenting on the pleasant noise - I also use it on long flat "straight country roads" where there are many cows, crows and horses and they all seem fascinated by the noise (I Turn it on when you're past the animals and shake the grid a little It helps with the monotony of the long straight flat roads) If the road is really straight and long and free of traffic or animals, I turn it on sometimes . Chime mode and let the road surface jingle and finally transition into a kind of "musical reverence" by intentionally adding jingling bells to actually make a sort of musical interlude. Usage Note: I recommend the rubber o-ring version of this bell if you're switching the bell between bikes or moving the bell to different positions on the handlebars. In addition, the rubber O-ring version has the advantage that you can adjust the front or rear angle of the torch when ascending or descending. This gives you a more neutral bell position so the firing pin doesn't rest on the front or back of the inside of the bell, which can limit bell clarity. Enjoy!
