The antenna in our little Honda must have shorted out in the past because we couldn't pick up any radio stations for a couple of miles. I mounted it high on the windshield above the rearview mirror, then routed the cables and wires under the headliner and A-pillar. Connecting the power cord was a bit of a hassle, but it turned out great in the end. We still don't have the same reception as our other two cars, but day and night it's better than before. I thought the little red power light would be a nuisance at night, but it's pretty unobtrusive even in the dark. Worth the money if you're willing to do a little splicing and circuit testing in every car you put it in.
