To be honest this is only for people with vaulted ceilings or very small trees. I say that because our tree is about 4 feet from the ceiling and the light it shows on the ceiling is only about 12 inches in diameter. This makes the whole tree look fake because the light display is so small. To be honest I would have sent it back if it wasn't what my daughter insisted on. It just looks bad. The quality is not bad, but you are not paying for the quality of the star, you are paying for the LED display inside.
