I had a mechanic to take care of the timing chain and phaser so I figured I could take care of the oil and water pumps and thermostat as well. I only buy FoMoCo parts and have had no problems since returning the car. In fact, it drives like a Mustang for the first time since I bought it used 6 years ago. I don't know how much the water pump increases performance but for less than $50 I couldn't resist it and now I'm super excited to see how well my truck drives. Much more power and the ability to work as needed. Finally
