I ordered this to build my own bike rack. This fits very nicely in a Burley flat bed trailer. I had designs to tie it but it is VERY flexible so it folds up for easy storage. Instead, I attached 8 eyelets to the corners and then tied them to the trailer frame with short ropes. It worked GREAT! Wally had fun at the dog park for the first time in his life! The top opens easily so I kept it on a leash in case it broke. He seemed content to bang his back against the windshield. I've had nothing but positive feedback from people who have seen me pulling this attachment and asked where I bought it. Unfortunately, this was not destined to come true. The design of the trailer is such that if Wally falls while standing in a corner, he will topple the entire trailer, which happened once. He was fine, the kennel was fine, but I decided to look for another solution. So how does it fit into a more typical usage? He still LOVES it! It goes right there when we get home for the day and nests in there. The pillow that came with it seems to fit him perfectly. It's darker and warmer in there than in his big cage, and I think it's better for that. I've also taken it on camping trips and covered it with a tarp over it to keep it dry outside the tent at night.
