Western Digital (WD) drives have never let me down. Of course it all depends on the usage and the environment you install this media in and some prefer Maxtor or Seagate. In the world of EIDE drives, my choice is WD. It's incredibly quiet, very fast (especially when you plug it into an ATA/100 card in a PCI slot - damn it!) and lets you add storage on the fly. I used this particular drive to turn an old Pentium I machine into a neat little file server on my home LAN. With a 100MB PCI NIC, it almost competes with a low-end Dell server. It's here and I'm loving every minute!
