Got this to use old 2012 RV component video wiring with newer HDMI hardware. Now I can connect my Fire Stick to the media distribution system in the setup so I can watch the same thing on all TVs and don't have to plug it into each TV's HDMI port individually. It works great, auto detects resolution or can be forced. into a specific mode if you're inclined (I didn't have to do that). I also have an HDMI splitter in front of it so I can run either a Fire Stick or a Blu-ray player. I send a 1080p signal to it and it sends 720p over composite to the composite repeater and then to all the TVs. The picture is good, the sound works too. Exactly what I needed!
