Plug and play, good performance

Got this to use old 2012 RV component video wiring with newer HDMI hardware. Now I can connect my Fire Stick to the media distribution system in the setup so I can watch the same thing on all TVs and don't have to plug it into each TV's HDMI port individually. It works great, auto detects resolution or can be forced. into a specific mode if you're inclined (I didn't have to do that). I also have an HDMI splitter in front of it so I can run either a Fire Stick or a Blu-ray player. I send a 1080p

  • Hands-free

Big leap as an HDMI to composite video adapter I used

Got an old CRT that accepts fancy component cables and want to use devices with HDMI input? If yes, then this is the device you need. The picture quality is incredible and the device itself feels solid, unlike my old HDMI2AV adapter which felt rather flimsy. Considering they're both $30, I should have bought them sooner. Small note: this doesn't add "pan and scan" to your HDMI devices, in other words if you give it 16x9 content it doesn't zoom in to get the actual picture. cropped 4x3 picture…

Works good for 720p, bad for 1080p

I have updated my cable boxes and found that the new boxes do not support analog. I have a few more TVs that I needed an analog (component) input on, so I gave this set top box a try after reading the reviews. The first is an old plasma 720r. For this box works very well. My other is a not-so-old 1080p TV that only has one HDMI and 2 component inputs (I have two devices connected to it). I was trying to use this device to feed my 1080p Roku box with my TV's component input. I get a picture but…

Works with all my new 4K devices. My old HDfuryPro? . not as much.

I have a huge old (pre-HDMI, c. 2004) Mitsubishi WS-65315 65" rear HDTV projector with analog component video inputs (Y, Pb, Pr). In 2013 I have one Bought HDMI to component video converter "HDfuryPro" which has worked with a number of Blu-ray players over the years to convert their HDMI outputs to analog component video (1080i = 1920 x 1080 interlaced), which I do I recently bought a Sony 4K AV Receiver (STR-ZA2000ES), a Roku Ultra and a Sony 4K Blu-ray Player (UBP-X800M2).The TV is…

TiVo mini in Slingbox pro HD

Try TiVo mini in Slingbox. I set it up and went through the resolution options. 1080i @60hz places the distorted bar at the top of the TV and the refresh lines go down the screen. I went to 1080 @ 50Hz and the line at the top of the screen was gone, but the purple refresh line going down the screen was still there, and you could sometimes see parts of the screen trying to snap with a quick crop To update. and returns to normal. So yes it works but the quality isn't the best. I'm willing to bet…

Product works as advertised

I gave this device a 5 star rating based on its feature set and price, especially when compared to other available options priced >$200. It's not perfect but works as advertised. Setup is very easy and can be completed in 10-15 minutes. My application was to connect the Roku Express's HDMI 1080p output to a vintage 2004 rear projection TV that only supports coaxial, S-video and component inputs. To get resolutions above 480i I had to use the component input which supports 480i/720i/1080i. I…
