Review on Intermatic IOS DSIF WH Decorator Occupancy Sensor by Adam Taylor

The best motion sensor I've ever used. Better than Leviton or Legrand I've tried. Fine adjustment with rotary controls for light, movement and time. Installing in a windowless garage with switches mounted 6.5 feet off the ground due to flooding makes using a manual switch at height cumbersome every time you enter. The light always stays on at night. The Leviton switch is not very sensitive. I have to wave my arms for it to pick me up, and it turned off when I was working under the car. The same goes for Legrand, but it was even more unpredictable. It has a 3 position off auto on switch which is awesome. Stays on Auto most of the time and when I'm working on a project I can just turn it on and it stays on. Motion sensitivity is much better than the other two I've tried and since I don't have windows in my garage I don't need a photo sensor (light) or switch but would be nice to have for other rooms. I was nervous that this wouldn't work with my upgraded T12 LED bulbs (fluorescent) but they work very well. There is no hum, hiss, flicker, and the switch stays cool even after long hours of use (160W load, all directly connected LED bulbs). Do not remove the front adjustment panel without unscrewing the front panel. Actually I could just cut the little clips off the adjustment cap and use double sided tape instead, but once I've dialed in the adjustments I doubt I'll ever touch that again. 5/5 stars, will buy more when I need them. !
