Best installation choice for convenience

Electrician installed it and it does everything it says on the tin. Keep it in the laundry room so it's on when we leave the garage with our hands full. Or go from home to the laundry room with your hands full. You can choose how long the light stays on. The best choice for installation.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Replacement availability

Works great and can also be set indefinitely

I bought this item because I had a similar one in my garage but it went out after 5 minutes. This product has a setting (switch) so I can leave it on as long as the switch is on. I can also adjust the power off delay time if I want. I would buy again

Pros
  • Handy item
Cons
  • Has problems

Easier to turn off drive function

My wife works on projects in the garage and she didn't like that our last drive/occupancy switch didn't stay on for an extended period of time. The LED burned out, so it was impossible to tell what mode it was in. The mechanical slide switch on this new one makes it much easier. So far this one seems to be more sensitive than our old one, but I haven't adjusted the fine-tuning settings yet.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Not all fit

Works - Just make sure you have a neutral wire.

I bought this device because it supports multiple types of light (CFL, Incandescent, LED). Works well except the Duration, Sensitivity settings are under the front panel. It would be nice if they were more accessible. Plus, the burn time varies from 15 seconds to 30 minutes - which is a plus, except it's difficult to set a specific time with little to no detail on a tiny button.

Pros
  • Few competitors
Cons
  • Not bad, but...

Does NOT work with LED lighting

Manual override motion switch? Check. If you've previously hooked up a wall switch, you won't have much trouble with that. It seems like a solid little block and I'm sure it would work great for incandescent or maybe even fluorescent. What I can tell you for sure is that the motion activation feature here does NOT work for LED lights. Manually turning it on was fine, but in motion activation mode, the lights flickered heavily when triggered.

Pros
  • 150 degree coverage, 980 square feet
Cons
  • I will add later

Better than Heath Zenith SL-6107!

We purchased this light to replace the Heath Zenith SL-6107-WH motion activated wall switch. The Heath Zenith didn't always turn on when we entered the garage. Intermatic definitely feels us, although with all of the motion-activated wall switches there's a slight delay before the lights turn on. This happens even with higher end Lutron switches that don't have manual controls. Anyway, the reason we're using this is because it has an obvious shutoff button, which comes in handy when you're…

Pros
  • CFL Controls
Cons
  • Long lead time

The best IR motion detector for the garage!

The best motion sensor I've ever used. Better than Leviton or Legrand I've tried. Fine adjustment with rotary controls for light, movement and time. Installing in a windowless garage with switches mounted 6.5 feet off the ground due to flooding makes using a manual switch at height cumbersome every time you enter. The light always stays on at night. The Leviton switch is not very sensitive. I have to wave my arms for it to pick me up, and it turned off when I was working under the car. The same

Pros
  • Power off delay from 15s to 30mins
Cons
  • Out of mode
