So few comments. 1. The rubber-silicone coating does not create perfect spheres, but two slightly different sized hemispheres that are glued together. This causes cracking and splitting of the ball in half. 2. If you overfill the mold with water, the ice will expand and the mold will not work well, resulting in many cracks. The best I've found is to put a few ice cubes in the mold before adding the water. This allows for less expansion in the mold and it appears to freeze faster and more evenly, giving you a harder ball of ice cream. After that, I found that the ball didn't crack or deform as much. In general, the shape is fine. It works and for the price it's not bad, but there are definitely better shapes out there. I have one and use it maybe twice a week. I gave one too.
