Review updated 12/04/19 They are still used in our car and are still in service. A few things are HEAD UP though. CONS1. Don't let them touch the velcro or they will break the threads very easily! 2. You literally have to be able to walk around the ENTIRE chair to put the cover on, so for a back seat in a small car it was very difficult to put on and take off for washing and such. This usually requires a lot of flexibility and commitment from me. About 30 minutes or so to put them in.3. They are not like COVER ALL seat covers. In other words, dust, splashes, dirt, crumbs can still penetrate through the seat cover. This will prevent serious damage to the original seats, but remember to remove them and clean the original seats often! Otherwise, dust and other contaminants will settle and be difficult to remove.4. I bought black cases and they have faded over time! They are quite brownish gray where the sun hits them the hardest. Some of them are still quite black when the sun isn't shining on them, but they're all faded. Of course it's been about 2 years since we installed them.5. They don't fit perfectly. I had trouble getting them on tight for the first few months, but they definitely don't fit. I installed them in my 2012 VW Jetta.6. The rubber bands and straps that are supposed to hold them to the seat tear fairly easily. We still have 2/3 of them intact. I've been pretty rough on them, removing and replacing them for washing frequently, which has certainly affected that. So be careful how tight you make the straps and how far you stretch the elastic. All elastics have retained their elasticity, which is great! They use a metal hook to connect to the rubber band which I find keeps falling off. The hook is wide open and maybe it would hold better if they could figure out a way to close the hook. PROS1. They protected our seats which is why I bought them. Our dog threw up in the car almost every time we took her anywhere and they helped protect the original seats from soaking up liquids. They helped protect against dirty shoes, dirty children's hands and much more. Dirty paws, fast food, dropped treats, sticky candy. Overall they did a good job protecting the original seats. Original review: These seat covers are great! I can't get them to fit perfectly but I think it's due to the lack of time I put into them. They are soft, smell new and do a great job of protecting our original seats from children. and pets. Great product and I love how affordable they are!
