It's almost a couple of bars that look like steel alloy. The metal has many small ridges on its surface that stick to the skin like a pinprick. The ends that attach to the cam sprocket are welded to the ends of the steel rods on one side, but kinda bad. The ends of the metal rod to which they are attached are uneven, as if slightly melted during the welding process. I like the rubberized grip and it will probably fit my car's top sprockets, but the torque the lower cam balancer may need will likely bend the mounting pins out of alignment.
