I've been feeding my two Indian Ringnecks Harrison's Pellets since they were little. The brilliant condition of their plumage and general health could not be more evident at 3 years old. I can easily tell what a huge impact a balanced, healthy diet had on her condition. (1) The product is organic. No chemicals or preservatives. (2) Contrary to popular belief that pellets taste bland, at least my parrots don't. They love the taste so much that they might not like it if you mix something else with the pellets. (3) It can be served in many ways; If it's dry (most common) or if you're trying to acclimate your bird to this food or spoiling it, you can mix it with water. Within 5 minutes you have a homogeneous wet mix, just as you would mix the powdered version with water, heat it up and you can feed them like that. You can also spray some water on the dry pellets and sometimes my parrots like it. Last but not least, you can mix the pellets with water in a cup, but don't let it steep for more than 1 minute. Then reheat and now the mixture will be crispy, which will remain so when reheated and stored in the fridge. My parrots sometimes like the crunchy mix. (4) With this formula, you can still feed additional fruits, vegetables, and seeds for variety. No matter how full a pellet may be, all living animals appreciate variety. So 70% of my parrot diet comes from Harrison's and the rest comes from various seeds, fruits and nuts. This way, if you don't have the time or you can't prepare other foods for your parrot on a regular basis, you can be sure that they're getting all the nutrients they need and you can give them other healthy foods at the same time. .(5) Excellent pouch that seals perfectly and protects the pellets for long-term refrigerated storage.
