High quality nutritious food for all your ornamental birds

I started buying this pelleted bird food on the recommendation of the breeder we buy our gray parrot from. He was used to this brand of infant formula and switched to the granular form. I have been feeding my parrots Zupreem pellets which they love but decided to offer the Harrisons as well. Both are now using the small Harrison's pellets - the small pellets work well for both, even though they are different sized birds. I feel better because of the high quality organic ingredients that go into

  • Durable finish

Best pellets - food

I tried for a long time to convert the bird to Harrison food, but my Gala cockatoo didn't want anything. I wanted to try them after the first bag was wasted as my gala ignored them (I tried crushing them, soaking them in water and organic juice) but my vet told me they were over processed and I did only the size should use. I soon gave up and decided to just feed Rosie organic pellets instead and forget about Harrison. On a whim I grabbed a lovely £1 bag a few months ago and Rosie loved it! I…

Came highly recommended and it delivered.

I love this food! It's expensive, yes, but you get what you pay for. It's a quality brand that comes highly recommended and while some have commented that birds don't eat it (animals can be choosy sometimes, what can you do?) they actually prefer it to the unhealthy seed diet they used to eat . Please note new buyers that the cost per pound is cheaper if you buy this larger bag, but other places (including Amazon which I last checked) sell a smaller £1 bag. So please, if you buy 5 lbs of bird…

My Conure for Food

My Conure needs a medium sized formula. Harrison products were what the vet recommended 19 years ago. But then there were medium sized bites. Today you can buy small and large sizes. My kennel won't eat either of them. My solution was to buy the small size and experiment to make a medium size: mix 1/2 cup of food with enough water to make a paste. Pour the noodles into a shallow bowl. Roll out this porridge 1/8 to 3/16 (3 to 3.5 mm) thick on a plate, then microwave for 40 seconds], remove and…

All my birds love this food

I started feeding my parrots this two years ago on the advice of a vet - suprem and seeds just weren't giving them the nutrition they needed. This feed is a brownish-grey, small, uniform kibble, visually a far cry from the fun iridescent shapes of Zuprim, but my birds have proved that these lovely colors and shapes are more of a gimmick to entice people to buy than birds. EAT it. Some of my birds took it right away and the rest followed within 2 days. Even my pickiest old lovebird, who has…

If your bird is picky and won't eat pellets, BUY THIS FOOD.

I rarely write reviews. But this meal really impressed me. I have a peach kennel. He's picky, picky, picky. I got it from my daughter. She tried all foods, seeds and pellets. She never managed to get him to eat the pellets. But I thought I'd give it a try. It's only available locally in high-protein and large chunks, so I grabbed a sample from my local pet store and smashed it up with a hammer. He tried right away. So I sent for a 5 pound bag hoping to do the right thing. There was hardly any…

Outstanding Nutrition - Organic and Balanced

I've been feeding my two Indian Ringnecks Harrison's Pellets since they were little. The brilliant condition of their plumage and general health could not be more evident at 3 years old. I can easily tell what a huge impact a balanced, healthy diet had on her condition. (1) The product is organic. No chemicals or preservatives. (2) Contrary to popular belief that pellets taste bland, at least my parrots don't. They love the taste so much that they might not like it if you mix something else…

  • Outstanding Overall Performance

Incredible food for incredible companions.

Two months ago my husband and I bought a four month old pineapple green cheek. Well, we fell head over heels in love with the little guy about 15 minutes after we brought him home. We joke that this is the easiest 30-year commitment we've made. However, about a month after we brought him home, we learned that his life expectancy can be greatly affected by his diet (like ours) and that the seed and pellet mix recommended to us at the pet store accidentally gave our beloved budgie placed as food.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Reliability
