Incredible food for incredible companions.

Two months ago my husband and I bought a four month old pineapple green cheek. Well, we fell head over heels in love with the little guy about 15 minutes after we brought him home. We joke that this is the easiest 30-year commitment we've made. However, about a month after we brought him home, we learned that his life expectancy can be greatly affected by his diet (like ours) and that the seed and pellet mix recommended to us at the pet store accidentally gave our beloved budgie placed as food. Fast track to fatty liver AND premature death. We did some research and came across Harrison's. Tzatziki Zik is now six months old and I would like to go back and record the changes that have taken place in the short month we have been feeding him Harrison. I have seen others report a dramatic increase in the brightness of their birds' plumage in their testimonials and I can attest to this. When we bought it we were told it was a "steam" pineapple (which they attributed to its dirty appearance). In the last month it has completely lost its brown hue. His eyes (which were obviously brown when we first got him) have changed to GORGEOUS rose gold, as has most of his head. The shades of green, yellow, lavender, aqua, azure, and copper that make up the rest of its plumage are so vibrant it almost glows. He looks absolutely gorgeous in the sunlight, and he smells like a delicious little cookie, by the way, so showering kisses on him probably isn't a chore. We were concerned he would have a hard time making the switch, but we spent the evening using pellets as a treat during a short workout. When he saw his bowl full of pellets (not seeds) the next morning, he was overjoyed. He literally buried his face in the bowl, squealing in pleasure between each sip. The small pellets seem to be the perfect size for him (considering he's smaller) and it's not uncommon to see him perched on his comfortable perch with a handful and munching happily. I will be a customer for life. It's such a relief to know that the food you are giving is not only extending your bird's life, but that he loves it.
