Let me start by saying that as a professional electrician you need a multimeter for everyday use and you want maximum reliability, quality and accuracy - why are you looking for this multimeter? I read a few reviews that sorted out this cheap $40 meter and scratched my head a bit. If you want a $250 gauge, buy a Fluke or similar. Don't buy this and then measure it with professional gauges and write scathing reviews as it doesn't stand up to scrutiny and measurement with much more expensive gauges. I used to only have an Innova multimeter which I bought here at Revain for about $20. - and it was a great meter for the price. (This one: https://www.amazon.com/INNOVA-3320-Auto-Ranging-Digital-Multimeter/dp/B000EVYGZA/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1524085919&sr=8-3&keywords=innova+voltmeter) For the rare homeowner who just wants to measure voltage and random resistance, this $20 Innova meter is all you will ever need. I recently had to upgrade my multimeter as I also needed to measure capacitance. After a short search for a good price-performance measuring device, I decided on the Amprobe AM-510 multimeter. In the end I'm glad I did - this is an excellent counter for the price and as good or even better than counters twice the price. Read the reviews - it's not for nothing that there are so many positive ones, this is a very good, reliable multimeter at an excellent price. This meter bridges the gap between the infrequent user who just needs a voltmeter and the professional who needs it all. Think of this multimeter as something that more discerning hobbyists or homeowners will buy if they need an all-in-one multimeter and plan to use it frequently. or better yet, a product website or manual. Or you can read detailed reviews here on Revain, describing each feature and breaking down the meter as if it were a much more expensive Pro model. For the price and value you get with this Amprobe AN-510, this comes highly recommended. Thank you for reading. Attached Photos: The first photo is of the $20 Innova gauge I mentioned above alongside the Amprobe AM-510 in this ad. Pay attention to the difference in size - AM-510 is not compact and not small, it is quite heavy. The second photo shows a close-up of the Innova and the third photo shows a close-up of the AM-510. If you're on a budget and don't need a lot of features, the Innova is a great $20 counter.
