I'm glad I didn't want to make this a permanent solution as I needed something to get back behind the wheel the next day and I was in a bind. It took about two weeks for my other Summit Racing clamp to arrive. A major disadvantage of this and many other clamps of this type with only one strip, essentially made of thin sheet steel. After about 25 heat cycles, the metal had expanded enough not to even hold on to my muffler (see the gaps around the exhaust pipe in the photo). At this point, he merely acted as a "leader". Anything over 3k and it will eventually tear off an end and I'll have to stop and fix it wherever I am. Everything worked fine underneath. So if you're a slow, relaxed driver I'm sure it will be fine in the long run, but I wouldn't count on using it all the time. Yes, it was also as tight as I could get with my airstrike, and yet it wasn't enough. Returned.
