I've been using it for 2 years now and the sensor works great knowing what can happen when it's stored in Dash SxS. To avoid this problem, it is better to keep it in a workshop toolbox drawer. The only issue we had was that the cap over the needle is a plastic lens that was pressed against the gauge needle which reads the PSI of the gauge face. . This is what happened when we kept our Sxs in the dash as we often use them to monitor tire pressure. Something has come into contact with the face of the gauge and applied enough pressure to press the clear plastic face against the gauge needle and prevent it from moving freely. I wouldn't say it was a design flaw if it was just me but we bought 3 of these and our friends also use them on the SxS to check their tire pressures daily on multi day trips. And they experienced the same thing when their SxS lens is pressed in the face in the Dash with minimal pressure and can prevent the needle from showing the correct pressure and until you are aware and cover your face to prevent it happens again and again. Once we were able to gently push the plastic disc back into place and the needle moves freely again showing the correct tire pressure, we used an old phone case to protect the plastic disc from being pushed in again and we had no problems there. . I believe this can be solved very easily at the manufacturing stage with a heavier or stronger adhesive to hold the lens in place. Hope that helps.
