This is a really handy item. The plastic organizer closes securely and helps keep split rings of different sizes organized. This purchase also included a tool that I didn't know how to use and had to look for it. This is a grooved ring that can be placed on one of the smaller fingers. Next you need to insert the edge of the split ring into the appropriately sized groove to secure it by bending the ring with pliers. This comes in handy if you only have one pair of pliers, but I've found that I have a lot more control with two pairs of needle nose pliers.
