Review on πŸ”§ URO Parts 11281433571 Mechanical Belt Tensioner with NTN/NSK Bearing by Brian Tompkins

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A great article can use a pin note.

Fits my BMW E46 323i. I have used URO parts in the past and have found them to be of surprisingly good quality, especially given the price. I used to install an INA part and in the box there was a note on how to remove the pin after installing the tensioner which was not included in the URO. This can be confusing for those who haven't experienced it, and it won't work if the pin is still in the hole. The pin is needed to remove the old tensioner and install the new one as you cannot access the top mounting bolt unless the tensioner is in the way. This is for a secure installation. I used the small screwdriver in the one I removed to remove the old tensioner. You remove the pin after the URO part is installed (assembled) otherwise you will not be able to put a strap on it.

Pros
  • High strength alloy or composite construction resists engine heat and vibration
Cons
  • Dull packaging
