Great play cube (five star fun) but we encountered three quality issues with ours. Two small problems and one big problem. Minor problem #1. The wooden beads on the red wire touched the green top of the cube as they entered the hole at the lowest point of the red wire. I managed to gently but forcefully bend it back to the center of the hole. The problem is solved. Small problem #2. From day one the three goals scored had problems. You don't always walk the path alone. Two balls are stuck. The yellow ball gets stuck the most. The problem is either (a) that the balls are not the same diameter, and sometimes the diameter of the ball is not large enough to reach the point of impact. Or (b) the lanes are too far out for the balls. We can live with it. Anyway, we're just saying that there is another way to interact with this feature. The main problem is that when inserting figures (square, triangle, heart) into the holes, they fall straight to the ground. The mechanism with the red handle does not work. Upon investigation, it was found that the length of the rope connecting the red handle to the dowel inside the cube was too short. The pin should prevent the forms from falling into their original position. But this arrangement (for us) is equivalent to the handle always being in the release position no matter what you're doing. BTW, I correctly installed the thin wooden backing by threading it through the slots before attaching the top of the cube. This is frustrating as it takes more effort than a quick fix to get it working. For the money this activity cube is worth, I would expect slightly better quality control. Test each feature at least once to ensure the product is fully functional! This would fix my #1 minor issue and my main issue.
