Review on πŸ”’ Efficient Automotive Solution: Dorman 746-180 Door Lock Actuator for Reliable Door Locking Performance by Lamar Marshall

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great fit! suitable for spare parts

The top hook is very difficult to remove so I saw that it can be removed. Then refitting the actuator would be difficult too, so I reused the metal clip that was already on the car and removed it from the replacement actuator (note which pins it sits on and which pins detached from the old one). Using a pick or small screwdriver, separate the top of the replacement drive, then the top of the vehicle-installed drive and pry the failed drive out. Slide the old hook onto the new drive (may need to be pinched with pliers). Connect the wiring and push the actuator against the metal bracket and the correct pins. I think there are 3 sets of pins and if it works but the lock doesn't raise or lower you may need to move on to the next set including the metal set you will recognize if you look at it. The stand worked for me, at first I installed it with no problems!
