It's basically just velcro with tape. It doesn't feel like a reliable, high quality material that you can trust to hold your prized paintings/artwork on the wall. I used two large strips to hang a small 4" x 6" frame on the wall and woke up in the middle of the next night to a loud cracking and banging. The adhesive lost its grip on the wall in less than 24 hours and my frame was ruined. I tried using this on another slightly lighter Ikea frame with larger stripes and the unexpected surprise was that in less than 24 hours it fell to the floor and a 1" section of the paint off the wall of the new one townhouse that I had just moved into. Cool!
