Review on Kenu Airbase Pro Car Phone Mount: Ultimate Dashboard and Windshield Accessory with 360 Degree Rotation for Latest iPhones, Samsung, and Android Phones by Aaron Collins

I have mixed feelings about this product but mostly positive. On the plus side it's certainly a solid piece of hardware, although it's mostly plastic, it has a very strong spring to hold the phone firmly and the plastic feels solid. I think it's well designed. Size and shape are good too. I was able to install it on a recessed part of my dash that is just under 3 inches deep. The dashboard surface protrudes a fraction of an inch, but it seems to be holding up well. Unfortunately I had to rotate the base a bit as the lever didn't lock into the ideal position, resulting in a slightly odd viewing angle, but this has nothing to do with the product. I was able to get a foothold on the main part of the dashboard, but it was too far away to see easily. My dashboard is lightly structured and that hasn't been a problem so far. On the slightly negative side, I was confused by the sticky surface and the reviews both on Kenu's website and here at AMZ saying it needed to be washed first. Some clearer instructions would help. I'm going to buy a new car next year. I've read reviews that say it's difficult to remove from its original position, and one reviewer even said it tore the dashboard material. Haven't tried moving it yet and probably won't until I get a new car, but I'm worried both damaging the existing dashboard and whether it will stick to a different location and basically will this damage my new car's dashboard surface? My biggest problem with this is the price. It seems overpriced compared to similar products, but the company offers a lifetime guarantee. So if they're really serious and something goes wrong, there's that guarantee. Overall I'm happy with this product for the time being and will update my review if I try to move it or if something goes wrong such as B.
