Review on πŸ”‹ Aquatop BREZA Battery Powered Air Pump with AC Power Failure Detector by Jamie Parker

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Unreliable. Only 1 out of 3 started. I will never buy again.

I bought three of these cordless air pumps for all my tanks and found that two of them didn't work properly. Luckily I tested them before I went on vacation and found the problem before the crash happened. The problem was that the motor wasn't powerful enough to turn. I had fresh new Duracell batteries straight out of the box. So I know the batteries had a lot of power. Problem between motor shaft and diaphragm. The two roughened plastic surfaces offer a lot of resistance to the motor, which turns unaided. I have to tap the motor or diaphragm to get it to start. Even after retesting and holding the pump for five minutes before "breaking in". Won't start if power goes out. The whole point of this purchase was to save my tanks in the event of a power outage when no one is home. From now on I'll stick with the PennPlax B11. Never had a problem with B11 models. The higher costs are worth it.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Big and bulky
