This is a good helmet to get a small child used to wearing a helmet. This is a foam base with a paper thin plastic sleeve glued to the foam. The straps are adjustable and have a reasonable design. I find it good for falls or low speed collisions, maybe a kid using a tricycle or a beginner scooter. It is not suitable for cyclists or quads. We found it helpful to teach our 4 year old to wear a helmet when using wheeled recreational vehicles. If you are looking for a low speed beginner helmet this is great. If you need a helmet capable of handling higher speed use, look elsewhere.
