Great idea but my local burglar figured out the code in less than a week. I liked the product but I will have to send it back. Two nights in a row my back door was unlocked when I woke up in the morning. We've had trouble detecting an open tailgate in the past. I figured out the latch with the code, it won't unlock and open when I wake up again. But it was. I recoded the locks and moved the one on the back door. The neighbor was robbed a few years ago and he was sure they would leave my backyard despite my bulldog. Now it looks like the problem could be one of the older kids next door. They didn't break into my house, the spitz is definitely sounding the alarm. However, if we go out of town to shop or stay on vacation, I think we'll be robbed. It's not typical for someone to take the time to pick the lock and wait for you to leave after dark. This is a great idea and product, I think I just got the wrong neighbor. We bought a set of locks and handles which was very similar but with a battery and other coding options. It was double the price. Choose a home security system and a company. Most of the time, your would-be burglar doesn't live across the street, isn't friends with your dog, and has nothing better to do than pick your lock between 1:00 and 4:00 in the morning. My husband says to return it because it's really not that safe. But it was a great idea and it worked for a lot of people.
