CCA wiring is copper plated aluminum. So, in general, it can be called "copper". This means that only the smallest sheath of the wire is made of copper. Everything else is aluminum at best and a mix of iron and steel at worst. Why is it important? It corrodes from the inside out, rendering wires useless in less than a few years at best.
