Media could not be loaded. I had a project that required me to drill some large holes in the side of the steel case of my Trane gas oven. I installed a surge protector to protect the variable speed motor and the digital electronics in the oven controls. The surge regulator had a ½ inch wire bracket that the power wires to my oven ran through. I also had to route the power cords through several areas to get to the area they connect to and I also had to drill holes in those areas. The Beats quickly completed the project. I made a small starting hole with a standard drill to make sure the step drill wouldn't step on me and placed the hole somewhere else that I didn't want. The drill bits are metric and in one of the turns of the spiral mark the steps with a millimeter sized hole that you get by drilling to that depth. I show this detail in the attached video which I hope you find helpful. The drills create a lot of small metal shavings, so make sure you turn off the oven to avoid short circuits. Then you need to remove the chips into the firebox to finish the job. I just used my shop vacuum. This isn't a tool I'll use every day, but you'll definitely need it for specific projects. They worked great and I gave them a 5 star rating.
