I'm a huge skeptic of essential oils other than the obvious comfort of scents. We just introduced our new rescue cat (Lily) to our existing cat (Philip) about 4 months ago. so aggressive towards her that sometimes I had to lock him in the bathroom and in the garage (he likes it there). I put this collar on him yesterday morning and so far I've had nothing but a calm, sweet Philip. Definitely don't follow Lily during the day or last night. I'm speechless. I can't believe how quickly and effectively this worked for him. For me, it's the smell of lavender that I love and it's not overpowering. This morning I found it in my kid's sock drawer. Love it! Each individual cat is chemically different and will most likely have different results.
