This is an old design I remember from the 1960's. Table edge clamp instead of suction cup, but functionally identical machine. These new ones work just as well as before. The suction cup works well on smooth table tops. Better than the old clamp. It has a peeler that can be easily detached if you just want to remove the core and slice. Likewise, you can turn off the core/cut if you only want to peel the skin, so you can use it to peel potatoes and other veggies if they fit in the machine. The thickness of the skin can be adjusted, so you can cook thick things like curly fries or thin skin. The corer/slicer is not adjustable and always cuts about 1/4" thick. The only thing to note is that the knives are very sharp and there are no finger guards. It's fine, you just have to be careful Haven't seen them in years I'm glad they are the back Works great.
