Connect 4 is not only one of my favorite board games, it's also the perfect travel companion! I bought this for my nieces (3 and 5 at the time) as we were on a family trip of over 30 hours round trip and decided to upload something to get their attention that doesn't depend on battery power. This little gem helped the cause throughout the trip! It also gave me the opportunity to keep reminding my nieces that I was their intellectual superiority, so it was actually a double win. -Go play. Holders with lids on both ends are great for keeping discs in place when not in use and make it easy to pull out pieces one at a time without fear of stacks falling out with each pick. The ribbed catch plate under the counter prevents slippery items from sliding out to the side and folds up easily. Collapsing minimizes the overall play profile at end of use and allows for easy storage. The good thing about this game is that it doesn't rely on luck/chance, instead making my nieces think in real time and planning a few moves ahead. and anticipate their opponents' strategies. It's amazing to see the girls learning with each successive game. And if all else fails, you can always throw chips at yourself because sometimes you just get tired of thinking!
