The chaos has arrived. But washable

I have not used them yet. I will update my review that I have. So I bought these and they arrived, the outer packaging was in good condition but when I opened it it was a mess. (see photos) Pastel dust is everywhere and I knew it would take time to clear it up. But I texted Revane anyway because it's really funny. They refunded my money without me having to send it back to them and said they would look into it. (okay, nothing will come of this, but still) then I started cleaning up these pastels. Cleaning pastels is pretty easy, but it will require a rag or two, a few hand washes, and about 40 minutes of your time. So turn on the TV. Start with white and gradually go from light to dark and wash your hands if there is a lot of pigment on the fingers. Take a rag and gently rub it back and forth with the pastel until the layer of multicolored dust comes off, don't forget the ends. And put it on another rag. And repeat until you're done. Make sure you clean the box too. Take out the black tray, there will be a bunch of dust and pieces underneath. wipe it away You can wash the black plastic shell with mild soap and a brush (e.g. for nails) to remove residue on the corners. Let dry overnight, don't wash box, it's paper. Once the black tray is dry, place the tray back on the bottom of the box and place your pastels back in the box. It's a crazy effort to make them usable, but the color pigment is beautiful and vibrant and I can't wait. Try her.
