Perfect for Skype on Mac

I bought this after finding out that my 27" iMac doesn't amplify the microphone input. This rendered my headset pretty much useless for anything other than my Dell laptop I spend 99% of my day on a Mac and needed a better solution for Skype calls than using the built in microphone as it creates too much ambient noise and room reverberation. All drivers needed to be installed. 2 seconds setup in Skype to microphone and set up speaker audio to go through the sabrent and I was ready to go. VOIP was calling on my router or network, I found that this device is not working. When using my headset and this adapter for voice calls, the people on the other end couldn't understand my voice (they said it sounded like I was a robot) after hearing them for about 18 minutes each time b had used. The only remedy was to hang up and select another 18 meters of clear sound. This problem caused me to stop using VOIP and use my cell phone instead. was perfect. Who would have thought that such a temporary problem could be caused by a small USB device? Fast forward to today. I have a Sennheiser USB headset Sennheiser PC 36 with microphone that works great. Even after an hour and a half of VOIP no problems with the sound. I tested this on Skype and Google Talk voice calls. It's likely my problem was bad hardware, so your mileage may vary.
