This mandolin is a really good product overall. also dice. Very convenient. They snap well and I feel confident to keep cutting. I love how well it fits over the bowl and its own base to catch veggies. And I'm grateful and I love the safety feature in the handle of the food slicer itself. It doesn't take up much space and is easy to store. It packs away into itself creating a straight/level surface making it even more storage friendly. The areas I struggle with and the reasons I gave it less than five stars are as follows: - The primary slicer doesn't even have an external mandolin section. What happened was that when slicing the cucumber, the edge of the spacer that the blade snapped into was higher than the blade itself, causing any attempt to quickly slice into a hard stop. Cucumber. It only worked when he was very small, which was good when he got that close to the blade. It's good. Another disappointment for me was that the slicer didn't have different sizes. It was just a cutting width. It would be nice to be able to cut vegetables in different widths. Sometimes I like to slice onions and cucumbers very thinly.
