Pros: The Garmin Forerunner 205 is a very comfortable, high quality GPS running device because you can see how fast you are moving in real time (my average speed is 6.3 mph) shows how long and how far you've run, which is the most important thing I need to know about running. This is my first watch with GPS. I find a GPS watch better than a smartphone because it's much lighter and you don't have to carry it in your pocket when running. You can hold a smartphone and listen to music at the same time, but in my experience it doesn't matter if you have GPS turned on on any smartphone for a long time - first of all, it drains the battery faster and the phone gets hot! The Forerunner 205 with always-on GPS lasts 10 hours straight! Light weight and you can easily see all the information on the big screen on your wrist - you can customize the information you want to see! I love the training mode where you can have a virtual runner partner in the watch running against you. If you're moving slower or faster, you'll know if your virtual partner is behind you or in front of you (it all depends on what you enter for your average speed and time/distance. BEST is to have all activity data on their GarminConnect. com website or the software (CD-ROM) they provide so you can download all the data onto your computer It shows a map of where you ran and how fast you ran on each route - it connects to google map and google earth! i put 4 stars - too big and chunky for todays trend - is it 2005-2006? looks like i only wear them when i run i can't wear them to the table in a nice restaurant i will look like a power ranger! how fast, when, where, calories burned and save all data for a year, plus you can compare your individual runs!
