Review on 🔸 Cylinder Flex Hone Abrasive - Diameter & Finishing Products by Hayden Hart

Used to hone both cylinders on a Briggs VTwin 22hp lawn mower engine which required a new connecting rod, piston and 2 sets of rings. Rings for breaking in and proper fit. Not intending to do this regularly, I was torn between a cheap sharpening stone bit for about $20 and a flex sharpener I've seen on YouTube and the ones at Revain for $37 was sold. Reviews for sharpeners have been terrible (cheaply made and conflicting) and reviews for flexible tools, although few, have been mostly positive. Some great YouTube videos from the manufacturer and a call to the seller to see if a 3" tool (180 grit) would fit my 2.96" cylinder convinced me that the extra cost of a flex sharpening tool was worth it had. What a FANTASTIC result in under 10 minutes to finish both cylinders following the video instructions to coat the tool with clean oil and move in and out of each cylinder in 1 minute. Perfect cross hatch pattern on both. Great tool and good price considering the $200 parts and many hours of work to complete this project.
