For use in the car. Added behind the main unit to add more ports and improve charging speed. Installed aftermarket Android radio. As a result, I only have 5 ports (instead of 2 on the head unit) and a significantly higher charging capacity. 12V power supply, with separate housing and USB ground (fixes USB ground loop problems). Powerful internal power supply and components. Metal body and rack ears. Good internal build quality (I own an electrical engineering company). Bonus: If you open the case (warranty won't void) there's a jumper that forces the unit to supply *all* USB 5V requests. Prevents downstream USB devices from draining the main unit's weak power supply use. Very helpful.
