Ideal for Dragon Dictate

These headphones with built-in microphone, earbuds and mute button work great with Dragon Dictate/Naturally Speaking. I use it with Dragon Dictate 4 for the Mac platform and have achieved a very high level of transcription accuracy with very little training. This particular model is a bit more expensive than some of the other headsets that also work well with the Dragon, but it offers a slightly more solid build and a VERY long cable that allows you to dictate while moving around the room. It's a USB interface and the mute button is right on the cable. The blue indicator lights up when the sound is muted, and there's also a mechanical volume control on the cable. The comfort is good enough. In truth, none of these headsets are going to be really "comfortable," but if you learn this one and take the time to set it up, it's not a bad one. The mic swivels so you can use the headset on either your right or left ear, and the mic is on the gooseneck so you can position the mic with precision so you can set it up to work without speaking out loud . The build quality seems to be good. I was a bit disappointed to receive mine in a sealed plastic bag (no box) but I guess that's not a big deal as the item was clearly new and in good condition (but that also depends on how the unit was put in Most reviewers rate this Dictate headset highly and based on my experience I have to agree: I would give it five stars for its purpose and value for money.

Pros
  • Integrated volume and mute controls.
Cons
  • Bad Experience
