Review on Samyang AF 85mm F1.4 Weather Sealed Lens - Canon EOS R RF Mount (SYIO85AF-RF): High-Speed Auto Focus Lens for Clear and Crisp Photography by Tony Cohen

Based on the reviews I read and looked at, I really wanted to love this lens. One thing is for sure, this lens produces great images when in focus. I shoot with both the EOS R and R6 and with firmware updates to my camera bodies as well as the lens itself, when using Eye AF, the focus tends to miss quite a bit. The lens literally displays eye or face tracking, and some images are sharp and some aren't. If you don't move much, this lens is a great alternative to the more expensive RF 85 1.2. Studio photography is fine too. However, I cannot recommend this lens for on-the-go photography. No paid photographer should accept the option of skipping an image on a paid shoot.* I sent mine back and ordered the RF 85 1.2.*
