Bought this dehydrator as a gift for my husband (at his request) so he can dry lion's mane mushrooms that he has grown himself. I love how easy this thing is to install, easy to clean, and the trays easy to remove. It's also pretty quiet. There's some noise, but it sounds more like a small fan and isn't annoying at all. I've tried dehydrating cooked taro root puree (so I can make taro root powder, similar to instant taro root puree). Dries in 8 hours. The dehydrator is quite compact. First, the trays seem too fragile, so I handle them with care. In addition, I find this item very useful and excellent value for money.
